Susan Mogelin Bio A self taught water colour painter, Susan is presently exploring the exciting versatility of acrylic media. Formal education includes two years as a mature student at the University of Guelph where emphasis was on: Urban and Rural Geography, Housing and Fine Art. An entrepreneur and business owner, personal interests included additional studies in art at Conestoga College and the Haliburton School of Fine Arts (Fleming College). Further instruction has been received from water colour artists Bonnie Steinberg, and Linda Bester and more currently, acrylic painter, Peter John Reid. The subject matter of her work focuses mainly on the natural environment and the impact that rural development has on the landscape. She and her husband moved from Eden Mills near Guelph to Grey County slightly over eleven years ago. Susan’s work has been selected for viewing at juried art exhibits at the Tom Thompson Art Gallery in Owen Sound, Southampton Art Gallery and the Meaford Hall Galleries. Susan is a member of Studio XX - The Studio Twenty Group of Painters based in Owen Sound and the Grey County Artists.
