Maria Drazilov Red Barn Door and Wheel, Hopewell Hill, New Brunswick digital photograph Maria Drazilov lives and works in Toronto. She is a multi-disciplined artist whose work often centres around photography. She attended the Ontario College of Art in 1981-85, where she majored in photography. She also studied film production and theory at Concordia University in Montreal and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1992. She has worked for many years in art galleries, has been a locations photographer, taught photography, and given filmmaking workshops among other things. Currently, she is editing a documentary video project which she directed and produced ,entitled Kabul Blues. Her short films include: My Inside World (85), Portrait (89), Presence (90), The Ritual (92), and My Mom Works at Sears (96). My Mom Works at Sears has been shown at the Toronto International Film Festival in 1996 and several times on CBC's Reflections. The Ritual has been shown on the Women's Television Network. |
