CANADIAN COUNTRY ROAD
Robby (Toronto)
Oil on canvas
43 x 59 inches

The motivation for this work comes from seeing with a questioning gaze. A couple of summers ago I took a road trip from Toronto to Creemore, Ontario. The scenic drive was full of eye-catching shapes and colours. Near Creemore at County Road 21 and 4th Line I pulled my car over to the side of the road. The next three or four hours I painted what I saw in front of me. The 16 x 20 inch plein air painting of County Road 21 was the reference when I later painted Canadian Country Road in my studio. $ 4,500

HONOURABLE MENTION
